Overview
Game of Thrones is a 2011 fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for HBO. The sixth season continues the story of the characters. The season is famous for the "Battle of the Bastards," one of the most epic battle sequences in television history. Jon Snow is resurrected, and he retakes Winterfell from the Boltons. The season also follows Daenerys as she finally leaves Meereen and sails for Westeros. The sixth season ends with Daenerys crossing the Narrow Sea, and with Cersei blowing up the Great Sept of Baelor, killing her enemies. Game of Thrones is a series about the struggle for power, and the sixth season shows the rise of new leaders.
