Game of Thrones Season 3
Overview
Game of Thrones is a 2011 fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for HBO. The third season continues the story of the War of the Five Kings. The season is famous for the "Red Wedding," one of the most shocking and brutal moments in television history. Robb Stark and his mother, Catelyn (Michelle Fairley), are murdered at a wedding by the Freys and the Boltons, who betray them. The third season also follows Daenerys as she conquers the cities of Slaver's Bay, freeing the slaves. The season ends with Daenerys becoming the "Mother of Dragons," a powerful leader. Game of Thrones is a series that is not afraid to kill its heroes, and the Red Wedding is a prime example.
