Fallout Season 2
Overview
Fallout is a 2024 post-apocalyptic drama television series created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet for Amazon Prime Video, based on the video game franchise of the same name. The series is set in an alternate future where a nuclear war devastated the Earth in 2077. Survivors live in underground bunkers called Vaults, while the surface is a radioactive wasteland filled with mutants, raiders, and remnants of pre-war technology. The first season followed three main characters: Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell), a young woman who has lived her entire life in Vault 33; Maximus (Aaron Moten), a young squire in the Brotherhood of Steel; and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins), a mutated, 200-year-old former movie star turned bounty hunter. The first season ended with Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul all converging on New Vegas. The second season is in production and is expected to continue the story, exploring more locations from the games. The series was a critical and commercial success, earning over 17 Emmy nominations and winning two for Outstanding Main Title Design and Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup. It was praised for its performances, its world-building, and its faithfulness to the games. A second season has been ordered.
