Dark Matter
Overview
Dark Matter is a 2024 science fiction thriller television series created by Blake Crouch for Apple TV+, based on his 2016 novel of the same name. The series stars Joel Edgerton as Jason Dessen, a physicist who is kidnapped and transported to an alternate version of his life. He is a brilliant scientist, but in this alternate world, he is not married to his wife and he does not have his son. He must find a way to return to his own reality. The series is a mind-bending, philosophical exploration of identity, choice, and the multiverse. It was a critical success, praised for its performances, its direction, and its complex, thought-provoking plot. A second season is in development.
