Overview
The Sopranos is a 1999 crime drama television series created by David Chase for HBO. The fourth season continues the story of Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini). The season focuses on the deteriorating relationship between Tony and his wife, Carmela (Edie Falco). Carmela is tired of Tony's infidelity and his criminal lifestyle. She asks him for a separation. The season also introduces a new character, Johnny Sack (Vincent Curatola), the underboss of the Lupertazzi crime family, who becomes a major player. The fourth season ends with Carmela asking Tony for a divorce. The Sopranos is a masterpiece of character-driven storytelling, with some of the best writing and acting in television history.
