Daredevil: Born Again
Overview
Daredevil: Born Again is a 2025 superhero television series created by Chris Ord and Matt Corman for Disney+, serving as a revival and continuation of the 2015 Netflix series Daredevil. The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, a blind lawyer who fights crime in Hell's Kitchen; Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk / Kingpin, a powerful, ruthless crime lord; and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / Punisher, a vigilante who kills criminals. The series is set several years after the events of the Netflix series. Matt Murdock has retired from being Daredevil. He is now focused on his law practice, and he is in a relationship with She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany). Wilson Fisk has been elected Mayor of New York City, and he is using his power to target vigilantes. Frank Castle is back, killing criminals and causing chaos. The series follows Matt as he is forced to come out of retirement to stop Fisk and to protect his city. The series is a darker, more violent, and more mature take on the character than the original Netflix series. It explores themes of justice, morality, and the cost of vigilantism. Daredevil: Born Again was a critical and commercial success, earning over 15 Emmy nominations. It was praised for its performances, its action sequences, and its return to the gritty, realistic tone of the original series. A second season has been ordered.
