Overview
Stranger Things is a 2016 science fiction horror television series created by the Duffer Brothers for Netflix. The second season is set in 1984, one year after the events of the first season. Will Byers has returned, but he is still connected to the Upside Down. He is having visions of a massive, shadowy entity called the Mind Flayer, which is trying to possess him. The season also introduces new characters, including Max (Sadie Sink), a new friend for the group, and Billy (Dacre Montgomery), Max's abusive stepbrother. The second season ends with the group fighting the Mind Flayer and closing the gate to the Upside Down. Stranger Things is a series that is known for its incredible young cast, its nostalgic 1980s aesthetic, and its willingness to kill off beloved characters.
