Yellowstone Season 1
Overview
Yellowstone is a 2018 neo-Western drama television series created by Taylor Sheridan for Paramount Network. The first season follows the Dutton family, who own the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States, located in Montana on the border of Yellowstone National Park. The series stars Kevin Costner as John Dutton, the family patriarch, a sixth-generation rancher who is willing to do anything to protect his land and his family's legacy. John is a complex character: a loving father, a ruthless businessman, a killer when necessary, and a man who is slowly losing control of everything he has built. The first season follows John and his children: Jamie (Wes Bentley), the adopted son; Beth (Kelly Reilly), the only daughter; and Kayce (Luke Grimes), the youngest son. The family faces threats from developers, the neighboring Broken Rock Indian Reservation, and a hedge fund. Yellowstone is a sprawling, addictive, and often brutal drama about the price of power and the land that defines us.
