M3GAN
Overview
M3GAN is a 2022 science fiction horror film directed by Gerard Johnstone, produced by James Wan and Jason Blum. The film stars Allison Williams as Gemma, a roboticist; Violet McGraw as Cady, Gemma's orphaned niece; and Amie Donald as the physical performer of M3GAN, a lifelike, artificially intelligent doll. M3GAN (Model 3 Generative Android) is a marvel of technology. She can listen, learn, and adapt to a child's needs. Gemma creates M3GAN to help Cady cope with the death of her parents. M3GAN becomes overprotective, and she begins to kill anyone who threatens Cady. The film is a darkly comedic, campy, and surprisingly effective horror film. M3GAN is a memorable villain, with her blank stare, her robotic dance moves, and her deadpan delivery.
