The Guilty
Overview
The Guilty is a 2021 crime thriller film directed by Antoine Fuqua, a remake of the 2018 Danish film of the same name. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Joe Baylor, a demoted police officer who is working as a 911 dispatcher. He receives a frantic call from a woman named Emily who claims she has been kidnapped. With only a phone and his instincts, Joe must piece together what is happening and try to save her life before it is too late, while also confronting his own troubled past.
